Hello to all of you and Happy New year.
We have lots of new courses on the horizon, including deconstructed printmaking and Eco-dyeing.
Hopefully the woad I sewed in November will be ready for the Spring. I am currently researching and experimenting with new eco colours for the 2011 courses.
Our marche Noel Maison went well, with over 40 people coming to see what we are up to........ and enoying a glass of vin chaud (mulled wine) and traditional Yorkshire Parkin, it was great to see new faces and of course familiar ones too, thanks to all who came and supported us. We hope to offer more events like this in the future and not just at Christmas!
And with the holidays out of the way it was straight into Indigo dyeing with Shibori on 5th January. Some exquisite results achieved by 3 very determined students, including the first that I have seen of almost photographic style resist printing on silk, well done Judy! And the Gods smiled on us and gave us a bit of sunshine for the oxidation process.
